I talk to my high school buddies on occasion. They're exactly the same as they were, just older.

I have a couple of friends who I've known for several years that I'll hang out with from time to time.

But mostly, like nateholtrop I'm a loner.

Unless you include my fiancee and our cats.

I don't hang out with people from my hs anymore because it seems that i have lost contact with all of them. The only person that i speak to is my best friend but i didn't know her that well back then

I hang out with different groups of friends. There are co-workers, who are around 25-30 years old. Then there are college friends, who are just like me 21-22, and are probably my best friends. Then there are my girlfriend's friends, who I don't really like but I learned to endure. Funny thing though, all three groups are different, and I don't think I ever should get all of them in the same room

Of my freinds from highschool, i only still talk to those who i was really close with.. and even still i dont see them that often. I hang out with more of my college freinds and people that i work with now.. for the most part they are the same type of people as my old high school freinds. More and more i find myself being a loner though. Aside from my girlfreind who is now 7 hours away from me, i dont really have to many freinds anymore.

I have about six different "groups" that I hang out with on a rotational basis when I'm not on a date. I'm always for meeting new people and getting to know their friends because you never know where your next close friend is going to come from.

The closest thing to hanging out for me is playing 6-hour Dungeons & Dragons sessions with some former co-workers once a week. Other than that, I'll go to a few happy hours after work, but I guess I've "outgrown" the hanging out bit, or maybe it's that most people have moved away. Almost all communication with former acquintances/distant friends is through e-mail/chat/forum postings. If I wasn't employed, there would probably be days when I wouldn't even speak a word! The PC really changes things.
