Are you talking about a single long powerslide or your turnaround between powerslides is faster than mine?

Well that's totally easier. This was a demonstration video of the process of powersliding for dug777 who had never seen it done before. I was trying to get a lot of powerslides into the short 10 second clips my camera takes to he could see the whole process.

Just saw the video, dude you s0x0rs to the max0t0rs 😛

Especially for that track! Start more on the inside of the curves right when its starts, then hit your powerslide and you should be able to hold it all the way through the curve plus a little bit more. This way you should be able to powerslide through that entire level. Always connect your powerslides with little hops into different directions if your about to go off track.

Now when you can slide through most of the rainbow races, then we can talk 😎

No way am I putting cardboard in my windows, firing up the projector, connecting the N64, setting up a tripod, and trying to start my digital camera for its 10 second clips and then quicly start some proper sliding and then uploading the vids to my computer and then hosting them just to convince you.

You can doubt that I know how to drive. I'm secure enough with it that I have nothing to prove 😉

Besides, the shortcut in rainbow road is massively cooler than the wario stadium shortcut. Although it sure is fun to lap people on that map 😛

 
Nintendo really screwed up the AI on Mario Kart 64!

HOW could you have AI that just keeps 'coming at you' if your 'miles' in front? That is just frustrating. If you race away to a lead I expect the AI to not cheat and magically keep on over taking me! No other racing game I kow of does this. If you go slow they get closer to you. If you go faster you can actually build a lead...

awww but you did all that for dug777 :brokenheart:

I would say use an emulator then but even I can't power slide well on a keyboard.

You can't imagine how intense competition over this game got in my house during college. We had no cable, no PS2, no DSL, and were always bored out of our minds with only a N64, mario kart, and mario tennis to keep us occupied. Fists fights actually broke out a few times over this :Q
