I just found this on my girlfriend's computer after she had used her debit card to buy a game on Steam. After some searching, it appears this thing will collect data, but I can't find out what exactly it's collecting.

Can someone here shed some light on whether or not we need to cancel her card?

The bad thing is, I ran MalwareBytes, Ad-Aware, and Spybot and nothing came up on any of them. I scanned my system with Avast and still nothing, but I found random Windows installers trying to run via the Processes in the task manager. I immediately ran msconfig and disabled the scheduler from running at startup, but I can't seem to find a way to remove it from the computer.

Well it appears there's a lot more on this PC than I thought. I watched the task manager on first boot and there were about five processes that popped up that were clearly adware, but then they disappeared after a second or two.

Any recommendations for a thorough cleaning? I've always practiced preventative maintenance on my PCs but it seems after a few weeks in the hands of someone else, lots of suspicious files started appearing.

It's been a long time since I dealt with anything like this, so I was wondering which programs would be the best to use to clean the PC. I should also add that this is a Vista 64-bit machine, so everything is pretty outdated on it.

I must say, since it's a Vista machine, I think the best course would be wipe it out and install 10 on it.
