Powerful hate speakers?

I'm working on a weird project (a character in a short film that, you're right, probably no one will see), and he's kinda a very charismatic and intelligent guy who happens to be full of race hate/ignorance. He's able to justify his really hateful rhetoric, so I'm looking for some inspiration.

This guy particularly has a thing against the Gays so religious bigots work particularly well, but anyone with a fiery and hurtful/separatist message would be a good suggestion. Fictional characters as well, I'll dig up monologues if you just mention the movie. To stir the pot and show that I won't get offended by any suggestion, Malcolm X is on my short list so far! If you think Gandhi was a bigot lets hear your justification 🙂

Westboro Baptist Church. The "God hates f__gs" guys. Doesn't get much more despicable than them, although one can argue how "powerful" they are.

Given that the total "membership" of that "church" is 1 family they are not the least bit charismatic nor intelligent that I can see.
 
Justify is the wrong term, you want to use rationalize here. As I will not accept that said hate speech can be shown as right or reasonable (first definition I got from a search on the word)

God dammit, justify is a synonym. Ignore me and carry on.

They are not intelligent, but conservative talk radio hosts tend to be pretty xenophobic, and sometimes have a pretty solid following. liberal talk hosts sometimes can be just as obtuse at times.
 
there are a couple of really good "hate" monologues in Waking Life. Hell you should just watch that movie 7 times or so just because.

Didn't think about it, but now that you mention it Limbaugh would be a great example. Nappy headed hoes etc.
