It's the OEM version, but the price with shipping is reasonable.

CyberLink PowerDVD Player XP 4.0 $4.99
Shipping $1.99
Total $6.98 (plus tax if applicable. I was charged tax, but I live in VA. Not sure if they charge tax outside the state.)

I ordered it, it came in 3 days. Works great.

Is it the 2-channel version or is it 4- channel? My experience with v2.55 and v3.0 Power DVD OEM's are they just support 2-channel.

This software came with my DVD player. I think its the best out there, or at least the best I have seen. It has a slide bar that lets you to to anywhere on the DVD. An awesome feature. I strongly recommend this software and this is a great price.

If you buy this one, it gives you the option to "upgrade" to the deluxe sound package, or any one of several other sound packages. Sound upgrades run from $9.95 to $39.95 (you can get Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS for $19.95, or both for $29.95). See Link.

Good deal - but I need PowerVCR instead (too ??).

I found a few vendors that offer it for reasonable $$$, but sub $10 would be even better !!!

I recommend avoiding PowerDVD 4.
It doesn't allow you to play DVD's "while the TV-out function on your video card is enabled."
Just a heads-up on an extremely ridiculous "copy protection" measure.

heh windvd😉 yea but its best to have both😛 windvd has 1.5-2x playback with "normal" sound. powerdvd has always on top and capture at window resolution. both have dts and basically the same picture quality. i mostly use windvd though.
