Been checking e-tailers for availability of this card. What's taking so long... why isn't it available for purchase yet?
Apparently it's on hold while PowerColor investigates the build quality issues TPU encountered.

1680*1050 yeah that makes perfect sense for this card...
They should ditch this for these kind of cards

Any reason you don't want to spend $1260 on HD7970 Tri-fire? Gigabyte Windforce 3x 1Ghz are going for $420. They are slimmer compared to most 7970 cards, quiet, overclock well, have 3 year warranty. It's like getting a 3rd 7970 for $260 :D Also, they'll have higher overclocking headroom overall.

I mean, I'm thinking about it... but I'm just very attracted to this card; I think it looks awesome and it would go nicely with the theme of my recent build.

If not this card, I was just going to reorder the XFX Ghz edition card and get two of them. But I don't want to regret not getting g this collector type card because I was impatient. I love rare stuff... and most importantly, my stuff always has to match... it's a sickness...

I haven't heard great things about the XFX cooler for 7950/7970 cards. It's not quiet and can't really provide low temperatures at overclocked speeds.

Too bad it'd so late. If it's going to come this much later than the 690 it needs to be stronger. Nice bit of engineering by Powercolor though. They do design some impressive cards with the Eyefinity6 cards and their duallies.

Yup... just can't believe they kept the default outputs. For HD3D to work, all monitors need to be running via display port. I'll just go ahead and purchase the Asus Matrix 7970 when its in stores and Xfire it with my Ghz edition card...

Are you sure about them all having to be DP? I thought only one had to run off of a DP port and the other two can be either DP, HDMI and/or DL DVI.

For eyefinity it is ok. But if you want 3D on all screens, they must all be DisplayPort... tested it myself...

I'd avoid the 7990 all together. Especially if you already have a 7970. It'd be the cheaper, more effective route to just pair a 2nd 7970 with it and Crossfire.

For those waiting to buy one Newegg has it. :)

Took them long enough... Good thing I realized that HD3D doesn't work with mixed outputs. Would have thrown away a thousand bucks if I hadn't known. Will work nicely for trifire setup with a card that has multiple displayports though. But two tripple slot cards... No thanks!
