Powercolor expected to unveil double-barreled Radeon at Computex

Its coming too late though, isnt it? It should have launched a few months after the 69xx cards launched, not at the end of the third quarter and likely close to a new series launch announcement from AMD.

We could say the EVGA 460 2win was late as well. Odds are this will be a limited quantity specialty card. As long as this can be run in a quad-fire set up and is price right it will probably sell just fine.

Other way to look at it. It's coming just in time for them to clean out their stock of extra parts before the new series launch announcement from AMD makes it almost impossible to get rid of the parts without a deep discount.

I guess since 6990 had such a big boost in CF performance they will be sandwiching lower end cards too.

^ Neither this nor the 6990 are "sandwiches", as they use a single PCB. Cards like 9800GX2 (& IIRC GTX295) use 2 PCBs to create the "sandwich".
