Good Luck with that Powercolor

New information regarding upcoming dual-gpu Radeon HD 7970 X2 from PowerColor surfaced thanks to techPowerUP website. One of the most powerful cards will be available for at least $1,200 (or €1,200) starting from late July.

According to techPowerUP, the fastest variant of HD 7970 card, based on two GPUs, will arrive in the end of July. Card will likely be priced at $1,200 or €1,200 (including VAT). It’s worth mentioning that this model will be available in limited quantities (just like ASUS MARS III).

Any reviews or benchmarks? I want to see this thing go up against a GTX 690 and SLI GTX 670s...

3x 8 pin power connectors? That is exactly the same amount of juice as two reference 7970s. Power system might not be quite as impressive as it looks then.

If it beats 690, it will sell out, obviously. Two 1050MHz cores might... maybe. lol

Guys its 1200 dollars. Two 7970s will run you 960. Its an utter ripoff

It's pricey forsure. Guess somebody looking to get the most out of a single slot can choose this or a GTX 690 depending on there uses for the rig besides gaming. :)

Does look like it's got one hell of a pcb but that baby is screaming for a full water block.

I guess the major draw of this is being able to use 6x portrait mode eyefinity, which the kepler cannot do. Kepler is 4x max at this time. That said, there is no way in hell I would ever buy a card like this. 1200$ is ridiculous even if it can do more screens in surround.
