Powerade was the camp's corporate sponsor.I went to basketball camp with a friend as a child, and they serveD powerade like it was air
If I was near one of those, I'd find some way to make a quick case at that price.Oh my, Powerade is on sale for 49 cents at Stater Bros, for the 32 oz. Looks like I have an added errand to do.

I used to know a Coke products distributor that could get me Powerade that cheaply.
Powerade is the Pepsi of Sports Drinks.
I'm not falling for that troll bait response to my troll bait response. So you are saying its the best? Because its part of the Coca Cola company.![]()

I'm a runner and luckily, the few marathons I've run that supplied Powerade watered it down enough that I could drink it. It's got a bad aftertaste compared to Gatorade. I don't drink the low-sugar/artificially sweetened sports drinks.....and I don't drink them when I don't need sodium and electrolytes. I see a lot of fat kids drinking that stuff and while it's better for you than the colas mentioned above, it's still not a beverage I'd reach for unless I was on a serious hour-long run or longer.
That seems backwards, since vodka is pretty neutral and gin is generally... heck, I've been cantankerous enough today, I'll just go with "not pleasant unless you've acquired a taste for it".Yes! It goes very well with gin. Vodka is more of an acquired taste.

Oh, that I can imagine, I've seen vodka swirling in lemon-lime soda (or water, before I added lemon juice). It's more of the "mouth feel" than outright taste. You're right, vodka is more neutral in taste than gin, the heavier feeling of vodka mixed with gatorade feels like mixing oil and water, if that makes any sense.
With gin, it mixes well and the taste is something akin to a gimlet. But if you don't like gin, it won't mask the taste, that's for sure. I haven't mixed the both with tonic water yet. Last year we had problems with mosquitoes, so it was only prudent that I stocked up on quinine.![]()
Damn, man, have some decency.Vodka and Mountain Dew, had that last time I went to Vegas, it does the trick. I expect to hear a lot of eww, gross, etc etc.
I just wanted to make fun of Mt. Dew. There was a time when I'd mix vodka with pretty much any handy beverage. Its Vodka man, its just adding what you need to get sloppy drunk, its not like you are adding some extreme different flavor. I didn't think it would be drinkable, but it was fine, do different then adding vodka to OJ, just makes it into an alcoholic beverage.
