Power Surge!

I had a power surge when my computer was running. I was using a surge protector but it didmt work. The computer would turn on then off quickly when i pressed the power button. Would the power supply be the only problem? My Cd-Rw survived and my Cd-Rom works but I havent tested any other parts.
 
if your case has a power switch on the back (most atx cases), turn it off, then press the power button on the front. next turn the back switch back on and then try the front switch again. this sometimes helps with my system.
