I have a power supply 250 watt atx supply from achieve.
It doesn't have a wire switch in the wire harness. The only on/off is at the back of the supply. I plugged into the motherboard and tried to power up and no power. There is one conection on the harness (blue white brown wire)does this plug into a switch?
thanks

i've noticed that modern psu use a reset switch from the mobo
there is not power button directly on the psu
in other words there is reset/power buttom on the comp case that is a momentary switch that when you push it it 'shorts' 2 pins on the mobo
when this happens the mobo starts
the same thing happens when you plug the ac plug into the wall outlet
the mobo starts automatically
i plug the ac plug into a power strip that i can turn off
the power switch in back of the psu is very useful
not all psu have them any more
