Power Supply

I like Sparkles . . . you can get them at Fry's. There are others as well.

I just bought the Enermax 330w p.s., and I'm very pleased w/ it. Two fans, plenty of power connectors, and a long board power connector, allowing it to fit in the tallest of cases. A 92mm fan draws air from the case into the p.s. box, and an 80mm fan exhausts air out the back of the case. Both fans are true ball bearing. Man, I sound like an advertisement <g>.

jinsonxu and StickHead, I bought mine at a local VAR (Minneapolis/St. Paul area) and paid $65. Plycon Enermax p.s. and Pham Computer Enermax line both have the Enermax p.s.', Pham being $10 less than Plycon for the 330w unit I bought.

I also HIGHLY recommend Sparkle. They are built to last. BTW, PC Power & Cooling relabels other power supplies such as Sparkle's.

I have an Enermax myself. I didn't mention it because I have heard some negative feedback about some of their models. I have had no problems with it other than the power button breaking in the on position. I have a replacement I can solder in, but I don't really need to. I used the switch quite a bit as I was experiencing lockups that disabled the front power button, maybe it wasn't made for heavy use. The dual fans don't seem to move very much air either, but they are ball bearing, and do work. My previous 2 power supplies left a horrible taste in my mouth, so I can't complain too much. Quality is most important!
