I'm upgrading a Sony PCV70 Pentium I to a Pentium III, will the original power supply work?

Probably not. The P1 probably uses an AT power supply and a P3 needs an ATX PS.

Why would a P3 need ATX? There's BX boards for AT systems.... BIOS update?

you'll probably want to go ahead and snag a new ps anyway, even if your old one is atx (hey, some s7's were atx...) just because newer systems generally have higher power requirements..

I would get a new PS, then that gives you a wider choise of motherboards. I have heard of people running PIII's on 200W PS, but I would get 250 or 300W just to be on the safe side
