I just got mine OCZ Modstream 520W, gresh out of the box from newegg. I turn program called CoreCenter that came with my MSI k8n neo2-p mobo and I notice that +12v its at 11.56, actually, it goes from to 11.73, its never +12.

Well, usning speed fan it shows 12.56 so i guess its all good actually...

ps. many ppl told me that my fps would improve in Counter strike source after replacing my old falling apart psu, however they did not. I had very hard time pluging my 6800GT molex male into PSU's female molex connector. It never went in all they way. If it was not connected porperly,, would the card even run? Or would be just slower?

Also, any tips for pluging molex connectors? It really was a b*** to plug them in. hHalf of them are not even all the way in.

Whats wrong?

(11.73-11.56)/12 = 1.4%. I'd say nothing is wrong, unless they garuntee less (IIRC, one of the OCZs garuntees 1%, but dunno if it ModStream, and I could be thinking of another brand--google doesn't like '%'), OR if that much change occurs with no meaningful changes in load.

1.4% < 2%. They're using meters, you're using a motherboard sensor.

Um, they were wrong about FPS. If your video card didn't have the extra power connected, that would be a problem, but a new PSU wouldn't help that. If that was not connected, the card would run slower, and the drivers should tell you, on either bootup or logon, that it was not getting enough power.

As far molexes...they are designed that way. I really hate when I have to pull out a drive connector and the CPU or video card are right next to them. Sometimes I use small pliers in those situations, for extra control. Some are easier than others. The thing is, some really are easy enough that they can fall out in transport, but I think a few manufacturers go overboard in making secure ones.

Ok thanks, I was not sure if it was pluged in all the way, but if you say that my pc should let me know if it was unpluged, well its not saying anything on start up so i guess its connected properly. Another thing, how much could Soundcard help me with fps? I am using onboard card and want to get audigy 2zs, would that take some load off the cpu eventually improving my fps?

I have 64 3500+ by the way

A sound card will help a little bit. You may or may not notice for plain stereo, save for extra sound quality.

If you use surround sound, you will definitely notice; if not in FPS, in quality. Overall, the Audigy 2 is good gamer card. If you have decent speakers or headphones, you will certainly notice a difference for the better against the integrated sound.
