Here's the deal. I bought a chiefttec case from newegg about two months ago. The power supply on it was bad, so I sent the power supply back and got another one sent to me. The one they sent is too small for my chieftec case. They don't want to send me another PS because they already screwed up and sent me the same one twice that doesn't fit in the case. Is there a way I can get mounting brackets or something to attach this PS to the case? Or is there a way I can find out what size power supply will fit my case so that I can finally get my computer up and running?

If your PSU is about 5.25" wide, I would be interested in purchacing it, probably enough for you to buy a new standard ATX PSU. PM me if this is the case.

How about more info? What model case? What powersupply are they sending you?

sandmanwake - There's a mounting plate that fits between the case and the PSU. You probably left it attached to the first PSU that you sent back. You'll have to get ahold of Newegg and see if they'll send you a repalcement. Knowing Neweggs' reputation I'd say they probably will.

I'm fairly sure that I didn't send the power supply bracket back. The case is a chiefttec SVR DX-01WD server case. The power supply they sent me is an Antec 400W power supply, model number: PP-412X 400W switching power supply.

Where can I get some case brackets for the PS if that is in fact what I need? I'll try to talk to newegg, but I'm not sure they'll go to the trouble of figuring out the correct brackets that'll fit my case.
