Hi all,

Just have a quick question. Right now i'm running an Enermax 431W PSU, but i have a growing concern that it may not be sufficient anymore for power all my devices. It's currently not having that much problem, but i'm just wary of adding anymore devices.
Current what i have in there:

P4 2.26ghz 533fsb
MSI 845gl mobo lan/bluetooth/sound[disabled]
1 x 512mb pc2700 ddr stick
1 x Cold cathode lamp
3 x 80mm case fans

On Slots:
--------------------
Geforce 4 Ti4400 Vivo
2 x ATA133 PCI Controller
1 x Firewire Controller
1 x Intel Gigabit ethernet controller
1 x Turntle beach santa cruz

On Drive cages:
--------------------------
2 x 60gb 5400 Rpm Drives
1 x 40GB 7200 Rpm Drive
1 x 80gb 5400 Rpm Drive
1 x 120gb 7200 Rpm Drive
1 x 100GB 7200 Rpm Drive
1 x Plextor 24x CDRW
1 x Toshiba 16x DVD
2 x Mobile Drive Racks (Both filled in with 120gb 7200 Rpm drives)

Should i start thinking of getting a new PSU for this machine? If so, how much wattage should i consider?

Thanks all.

Enermax makes good drives, the only thing I'd be concerned with are the 12v drives, but with those you don't likely have them all fired up at once. If you notice any problems, particularly with the drives, as I mentioned, consider upgrading then, making sure you get a better psu with a solid and ample 12v line, not a generic pos ;)

That 431 should be plenty. Remember, we don't need the wattage in most cases, but the quality. Most good gaming rigs could run off of 150w and 170w PSUs (see the shuttle XPCs), but finding such PSus of high quality is somewhat difficult.

Thanks for the responses. I probably won't buy a new ps, since it's still working fine for now. It's unthinkable how i'm going to fit more stuff into my case (Lian-li pc60). But how will i notice strange problems when it starts to need more power? Sudden restarts? Data loss? Ugh, i hate to even think of the latter posibility that i mentioned :(
