Power Supply Type Device

I have a wireless access point of which uses a computer/monitor cable to plug into this box which then plugs into the device. Today the wireless access point went down and I found this adaper box making a flickering sound. To say the least, I have to find a replacement and am by no means a power or electrician type guy. I figured I could purchase something SIMILAR and it would work the same or have some stuff purchased from Radio Shack that could do the deal? Suggestions?

It's the same thing as in your picture except for the custom output plug. I'd just get that and solder the connector from the old one and heat shrink the connection together.

Sounds like a standard Power over Ethernet adaptor at 48Volts. That Jameco will do fine. Just use the old connector.

Are you sure a new access point wouldn't be cheaper?
