What pins do I need to connect to get an old power supply to fire up? I just installed new fans in the power supply and want to make sure they are working before I put it back on the shelf. Thanks

There is a thread here on the same topic within the last couple weeks. Particularly on older switching PSUs you must have a minimum load which usually varies with the output capacity of the PSU. Older PSUs can self-destruct w/o a load - newer ones may just shut themselves down.
. So either hook it into a system or get an ATX PSU tester from http://www.svc.com et al. I got the PowMax one (more lights, no momentary switch - you plug it in and the PSU powers up) that generally costs less than $10. all over the web.
