Power supply question?

I am working on a computer for a friend who's power supply was not working. The computer is an e machine T2642. I replaced the power supply and it worked just fine last night. I took it back to her house today to hook it up and I could not get it to power up I turned it on and the only thing that happens is the fan on the power supply runs. Thats it.
any suggestions
