Power Supply question

Shared among all the molex connectors...

Otherwise you would have a fun time running something like a 6800 ultra on a molex 🙂 of say 12w?...

You need.....

The power supply thread!

😉

All of the yellow wires on all of your drive Molexes lead back to the same spot inside the PSU. As do the 5V leads. The only time you have more than one +12V source is when you have a PSU with dual, tri or quad 12V rails. But even then, the peripheral power connectors are still on the same rail. The additional rails are for CPU's, PCI-e's, etc.

Hi, All correct but remember that the actual current drawn is a function of the load. Any device will draw the amount of current it needs. Jim
