Power supply question

I have an older case that came with a PII system installed. Will the power supply work with an AMD socket A motherboard? The power supply has a 20 pin power connector but also has the older "small" power connection. I've got a Duron 1.6 and a Soyo KT333 motherboard that I want to set up as my server but I don't want to buy a new case.

It should work fine. The 12V rail is crap so I wouldn't run a P4 or Athlon64 on that PSU, but the +5V is strong, and that's the main rail the Athlon XP family (of which the Duron is part of) uses.

If performance is flaky or it refuses to boot up at all, the first thing I'd suspect, though is the PSU.
