Currently, I'm running an Enermax EG365P-VE thats rated at 350W. In my system, i currently have:

AMD Barton 2500+
Abit NF7
1024 mb Crucial pc2700
1 - 160 GB (Maxtor)
1 - 60 GB(IBM - i forget which model)
1 - 30 GB (? )
1 - 52/24/52 CD-RW Drive (Verbatim)
1 - DVD-ROM (Pioneer slot loading)
GeForce3 (original)
1 - ATA 100/133 pci card
4 - 80 mm fans
1 - 92 mm fan

I was wondering if the new fortran ps (FSP300-60PN) which is rated at 300w will suffice for my system. The reason i want to get it is because i'm trying to silence my computer. Right now, the ps is the second nosiest thing in my system after the GF3. The fans are all quite due to them being on a fan controller.

Any suggestions on if the fortan ps is sufficent for my system?

yes, but this one as a 120mm fan and according to reviews done at spcr, this thing (as long as you get non-pf models) is very very quite, with the fan usually going at about 5v. And its lowered peoples temps by a few degrees. Combine that with a fairly low cost, and it seems to be a great ps.

PS> How do you figure out how much your powersupply needs to be by a list of equipment anyways? I've always wondered.
