Power supply question please

I am wondering what could cause this problem, i have a 400W Deer power supply that came with my Chieftek case, i have swapped a fan inside the power supply ( one of the Antec color led fans ), and at the same time I have installed Soyo KT400 Ultra motherboard & Athlon XP 1900 processor with 512MB of PC3200 Samsung memory. Three days later I went to use my computer ( it has been running all this time ) & i noticed it was off, I tried to turn it on but it would not power on until I unplugged the power cord from the power supply & plugged it back in, then the PC came on, it has been on for last two days. Now, when the WinXP booted up I did not get any errors that it was shot down improperly or anything like that.
Someone told me that it could have been the power supply, it turned itself off & some type of switch was triggered in there or something like that. Could this be the fan I have in there? What RPMS should be the fan running at inside the power supply?

Hope someone can help.
Thanx

P.S. My system is not overclocked or anything like that.

That would explain why it came with the case & did not cost me any more money.
Time to swapp the power supply most likely
Thanx

Read where a couple of people who build computers have seen Deer supplies wipe out the whole system and frequently see them come in due to failure. Get yourself a Sparkle/Fortron, Antec,TTGI or another known brand that holds up well and makes spec. It may be much cheaper in the long run.
