I just got enlight 7237 .. installed moboe and extrra fan.. wanted to see which way ps fan was turning and measure voltages in psu connectors.. applied power, flipped switch and nothing happened.. had mobo disconnected cause no drives installed yet.. does psu have to have a load>>😕
 
You can power up the psu without anything hooked up by shorting the green wire on the atx connector to any of the black (ground) wires. As for telling which way a fan is blowing, there usually are little arrow symbols on the fans fram indicating which way the blades are turning and which way the air is flowing. If not, they generally blow air out the side with the label on it.
