Power supply problem

Hi my graphics card has underclocked itself claiming it does not have enough power. It is a single nvidia 6800 gt and I have a 600W Enermax supply. The grfx card and processor(athlon 64 3000+ were not overclocked at the time.
Although I did reduce the frequency on the memory and core of the grfx card from being overclocked in the middle of playing a game about ten minutes before it happened.
Is there a utility that can help test my power supply?

Thanks.

The latest cards such as your GForce can't draw enough power from the PCI-E slot. Therefore, they have a slot or something with a power connector to draw power directly from the power supply. I once read a rumor that NVidia wanted an extra extension... hasn't panned out with their 7800 though.
