Power Supply LED flashing

Hey guys here's whats going on:

My Compaq Presario S6000NX is acting up. The led light on the power supply flashes rapidly and the power indicator light is also flashing. The computer will not boot either...... Not sure what's wrong any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you somehow enable Suspend To Ram (STR) ?

This causes the LED on my power switch to flash.

I haven't used it in a while because I had a different issue that made me not use it.

I don't recall but I think if you hold your power button in for about 4 seconds it might turn on. (If it is in STR mode.)

no nothing in the bios was changed.... I did some diags and found that once the power supply is connected to the motherboard the power supply starts flashing. If nothing is connected the power supply is okay and a solid green light appears

For anyone the needs to know the problem was the power supply was shot... I tried another one and the computer booted fine
