Power supply help

My power supply just started making ozone smells. Not good.

Can someone recommend the best power supply to buy? I plan on doing a major upgrade in 2-4 months from now, although I don't yet have any idea what I'm going to upgrade to. I need a PSU that will be compatible with any new AMD or Intel CPU's/motherboards.

Also, I was just looking at the 430 Watt Enermax specs at newegg. I'm a little confused about all the models. What's really the difference? They all seem to have dual fans and most have "thermal control".
