Power Supply Good Enough?

Any reason you went for the Aspire beside the fact that it is inexpensive? Should be fine though providing it isn't a dud. There are a lot of better PSUs to go with.

should be ok.

imo, i would spent the extra ~20 and got a lower end/smaller size fortron/enermax/antec etc but whats done is done 😛

The PS for a PC is a very important component.
Not just to supply X amount of wattage, but to do that in a way that provides a clean stable constant supply of power.

A good quality PS will do its job quietly and you never think about it. But a crappy PS can cause system instability, random reboots and general frustration.
A PS is one of the components vital to any PC's health.

Aspire is a bad brand. Your m/b will not be stable. Go with Sparkle/Forton/Enlight if you want to go cheap.

It will slow down the build but newegg does have a 30 day return policy. Don't open the box the PSU is in and return it. What orangat says is true. For inexpensive but OK,go with what he suggests.

Most new builders discount the PSU in order of buying priority. Most here don't up-grade PSUs very often. A PSU might see several builds or up-grades.
The top three priorities when buying for myself are display,PSU,then case. Everything else is subject to change. I have a 400 watt Fortron going on it's 4th year in a family members build i did. I just cleaned it internally and installed a new fan.

2nd that, send the Aspire back.

If your on a budget you can't beat Forton-Source/Sparkle.

aspire + 40 dollars for "500watts" doesn't fill me with confidence. shipping costs of sending things back mighta bought u a better psu. watt ratings are shady, cheaper ones are rated at absurdly low temperatures a powersupply doesnt run at, unless its outside in the dead of winter😉
