There was a great site that had a list of different brands and info on each one. This link had been posted here in the forums a few times but I can't seem to find the posts it was in through search. I want the link to send to a friend to help him not buy a crappy PS. TIA if you can help. Sorry for being so vague.
 
HardOCP has a large PSU thread in its hardware forums. TomHardware.com has some halfway decent comparo reviews. Still waiting for some site to "Test to Failure"... Some cheeky Brits with the temerity to call their site "Trusted Reviews" also has had some decently conducted reviews - only some are done nearly right, others are just like all the other fan-boy reviews.
