Power Supplies, looking for the best....

Hey all,

I'm looking for a top notch power supply. I have a Antec 430 watt true power & was wondering if there was anything even better out there.
Any help or opinions or just plane facts are appreciated.
And one more thing. Is there a p/s that you can remove the conectors that are not needed & use the ones you want.....?

thanks all................. nismo

Antec is pretty top-notch already. Unless you have a pet peeve about it (noise maybe) then you might want to consider something like an Antec Phantom or a Forton/Sparkle brand PSU. If you want removable cables look at an Antec NeoPower. Otherwise, keep what you have.

What's wrong with your Antec TP 430W? As PorBleemo mentioned, it's already pretty top-notch. Antec NeoPower and X-Connect Ultra PSUs have removable connectors, but I wouldn't recommend the latter.

Okay, if you REALLY want the best, then you only have one option: PC Power & Cooling. Nobody in their right mind (who knows what they're talking about) would attempt to claim that they are not the top-of-the-top-of-the-top-of-the-line.

I, however, couldn't justify their price, so I went with an Enermax 600W (who I would say holds second place). I couldn't be happier--the thing rocks!

PC Power & Cooling, but as stated above, they are overkill for home users. The PSU you have now is fine, don't really see the point in wasting money replacing something that doesn't need to be replaced.

PC Power &cooling after buying 1 i was able To O/C My P4 3.2 GHz to 224 @ 2-5-2-2 with my Corsair B5 memory that is incrediable noboby but nobody is getting that without board mods or they to could have a PC POWER & Cooling PSU thats 3.59GHZ @ 2-5-2-2 incrediable!!!!!!!!!!!! BUY 1 Check out my PCmark 04 &o3 scores @ futuremark orb Its a Raidcomputers PC brand. THIS IS IN REFERANCE TO BH-5 MEMORY ONLY
