Update: Since posting the info below, I removed everything except for the powersupply, and the motherboard, and it would not come on. I removed the network cable, and it turned on just fine. Since my motherboard has 2 network connections, I disabled the one, and was using the other. Everything was fine. Now, the situation is back. It will not turn on, no sounds, nothing. Same issue as described below. I am beginning to think my machine is possessed!

++++++++++
My computer will not turn on. No beeps or sounds of any kind, no lights, nothing... dead.

A little history. I recently changed out the motherboard and video card. When I put it back together, I could not get it to turn on. Same issue as described above. Then, for some reason it turned on. I set up my Raid drives, loaded XP Pro, updated drivers, etc. It rebooted during the install and the driver updating just fine. No problems. Next day, I could not get it to turn on.

I have tested the power supply with a tester, all green lights. I have replaced the power switch on my case. I have even bought a new, same model, motherboard. I installed the new motherboard tonight, and the same exact thing happened. It would not turn on, then for some reason, it started. I turned it off for a while, and when I went to turn it back on, nothing, just like before.

Power supply - Antec NeoPower 480
Motherboard - MSI K8N Platinum 2
CPU - 3200+ Winchester
Ram - 2 gigs, 4 x 512 3200
Video - ATI X800Pro
Hard Drives - 2 each WD Raptors 36 gigs
Optical Drives - 2 each Nec 16X DVD-RW

I know it has to be something really stupid, but I cannot figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your case switch may be going out. I would try taking a small screwdriver and short the two pins that the switch connects to on the motherboard (make sure it's not too big though so you don't short out more than you want to). This way, you gaurantee that the motherboard is getting a power on signal.

I have tried that. Also have replaced the power switch. (Coolermaster sent me a new one.)

I would try unhooking all the other connections to the case also then. Could be that your reset switch is the problem. If it's shorted, or shorting occasionally, your computer will never boot. If that doesn't work, I'd unplug the power from everything but the motherboard and remove all the cards except the video card and just see if it'll boot to the BIOS screen, several times in a row, then start adding things back until the problem resumes.

Best of luck to ya.

^^^^

I have removed all the case connections, including USB and Firewire.
There is no cards installed other than the video card.

So all you have connected right now is the power supply to the motherboard, cpu installed, ram installed, and video card. You've checked the power supply, it's ok. If you remove the video card and it still doesn't boot, then it's not the video card. If you remove the ram and it doesn't boot, it's not the ram. And since you've replaced the motherboard, I'd have to go with a CPU problem. That's just a logical look at the situation, but I don't know what else to tell you. With no ram or video card, you should get some beeps. If not, it's got to be a CPU problem unless you got two bad motherboards in a row, which is possible, but not likely.

Any way, good luck man. Other than that, I'm out of ideas for you.

Update:

With all power connectors unplugged, the video card and the memory out, all case fans unplugged from the motherboard, still no luck.

However, if I remove the network cable, in about 15 seconds, the machine turns itself on. With the network cable in, it will not turn on at all. I tested the network cable on another unit, and it works fine..

This is just wierd.
