Power Problem?

I just built a computer for my girlfriend. I Athon XP 1700+ on an Asus a7v266-vm. I also put a 60GB Maxtor fluid drive in. I put this all in an Enlight case with a 300W Enlight HPC-300-101. Now the HD makes a clicking noise every once in awhile. The same noise as when the HD shuts down. The +12V usually runs between 11.8 and 11.9, but sometimes drops to 11.655. Is this to low? Should I put a new power supply in?

Will an Enermax EG-365 fit in a MicroATX case?

Do you have an old ATX power supply laying around? Why not try using it as a power supply for the HDD alone(everything else hooked up to the 300W one). See if it still makes the clicking noise. Just a thought. I do this when I am trying to work out what I think is a power problem.

I believe all the enermax 365's are the same size, they just have different features like fan control. I was to lazy to pull out the ruler and actually check. I have an enermax 365 in my computer and it always runs at 12.2V. That's just why I wanted to know if 11.65 and 11.8 were to low. The clicking only happened ever once in awhile, and almost sounded like the heads parking.

I haven't had the problem in awhile now. It seemed to just to on for about 20 min then went away. I'm looking into heat now. There are only 2 fans on the case, one power supply one rear fan and not a very good intake from the front. Actually I don't know if there is any air flow in the front of the case. I might end up putting a front intake fan in and making a better intake in the front by drilling some holes.
