Power Problem

Last night I build the machine with athlon 1.33 GHz, A7M266 with Antec 1040 Case and Power supply 400w.

Every time (only when I connecting the power cord), As soon as I am connecting the power All the fans (Case + CPU) are rotating for a two sec and power LED is on for two sec along with Fans . After that it is stopping.

Computer Switch on/off for boot + Reset SW are working fine.Rest of the things are fine

My question is why power is coming momentarily initially?

Is there any thing I did wrong?

that happens to me...i am not clear if u switched the power on at the front of the comp aswell as at the powerpack

try that and i hope i could help......PM me if u need anything else

EDIT: also did u plug the CPU fan in the CPUfan header my motherboard and some others power off if there is no fan connected, check that

i know that symptom
i don't think there's a problem because for example every msi-mobo i get in my hands at work acts like that,
this even gives me a good feeling bcause i then know it's alive and will work

but please don't ask me for techical reasons
