Power Problem?

Weren't they supposed to fix this power problem? So that it would not cascade down the eastern coast.... Thank god it stopped before it hit central NJ. Kinda scary how fast it hit and what its doing. Cell sites were totally overloaded and I was just able to get online right now.

it is supposed to work that way

it protects the grid

this way, they can turn stuff back on in a matter of hours, if they let it crash instead of shutting it down, they would have to spend days fixing all of the sub-stations/transformers that would have blown as the grid crashed

it is a "feature"
