I can guarantee it isn't teenagers or "leftists" doing this. And these aren't 'pranks'. They're endangering people's lives and livelihoods doing this kind of shit, not to mention the damages caused to the equipment and machinery.

Was just about to post this. Yea, this needs serious investigation.

The AP article shows 3 substations were hit yesterday morning, but I just watched a clip from the 'Today' show that stated 4 stations had been hit, including one of them being lit on fire.

This is old, but still relative to the topic:

It's obviously not just cyber-fuckery we have to worry about with the nation's grid, but terroristic fucking clowns with guns doing physical damage, and for what? Because there's a local dragshow down the street? What the fuck.

Another report from the NIH:

Looks like terrorists see the potential and are starting to organize something. Still haphazard at this point, but that it has been repeated in a distant location is alarming.
MAGAs prepping?
That's what I was wondering...could it be test runs? Most of them might be meal team six gravy seals, but there are MAGA groups and rightwing extremists all across the country, it isn't like they only live in 'red states'. They aren't all IQ90 imbeciles, and it isn't outlandish to think they could and would plan coordinated attacks across the country, even trying to cause massive grid outages.

I might be surprised if it happened...but not shocked (no pun intended.)

It was our power that was taken down and that "vandalism" horse shit needs to be called out for what it is, domestic terrorism.
It went out all around us, we could see it on social media posts. My wife's BFF was in the early outage and texted us, and my wife delivered a thermos of coffee to her.
A few hours later and our power goes out. I texted her "you have power?" "can you bring back the thermos with coffee?"
:D

Found this interesting and informative. Buddy linked it to me since we had discussed this/these events at length when it first hit the news.

Our act of terrorism was a case of some really stupid criminals. They took the power down to disable alarms at a place they wanted to burglarize.
They got caught for that after a few days, and also have all that bonus crime tacked on.
Even though they know the motive and have the criminals in custody, they are still hiring rent-a-cops to sit at the affected substations. Feck!

White supremacist and his white trash GF caught plotting to damage power stations all around the outskirts of Baltimore, with the end goal of "completely destroying" the city.

Evidently this idea of causing mass chaos by attacking power stations is going around on the far right.

And of course this Fox News affiliate puts the word "extremist" in sneer quotes, despite the fact that there's a manifesto expressing admiration for Hitler and Andres Brevik.

Just following in the CPAC footsteps. Normalizing it to blunt the stigma.

'Two men were sentenced in federal court today to crimes related to a scheme to attack power grids in the United States in furtherance white supremacy.

Christopher Brenner Cook, 20, of Columbus, Ohio, and Jonathan Allen Frost, 24, of Katy, Texas, and West Lafayette, Indiana, each pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to provide material support to terrorists. Cook was sentenced was sentenced to 92 months in prison and Frost was sentenced to 60 months in prison. Jackson Matthew Sawall, 22, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was also charged and pleaded guilty in February 2022 in connection with the scheme and will be sentenced at a later date.'

Glad to see they at least found a few. They obviously aren't the only ones with these ideas in their heads, though. These were just a few that were dumber with their communication and trails for authorities to follow.

I think you left out an important part

“These defendants plotted armed attacks against energy facilities to stoke division in furtherance of white supremacist ideology and now they are being held accountable,” said Assistant Attorney General Matthew G. Olsen of the Justice Department’s National Security Division. “
