power on from usb?

Is it possible to get power on from a usb peripheral (keyboard or something like the griffon powermate)? My power button is not easily accessible because my rig is under my desk, and I'm getting tired of crawling under there everytime I want to boot up.

I have an evga nforce 680i SLI, and the bios has a power-on from keyboard function but I haven't been able to get it to work. This may be because it's linked to the PS/2 port, and I have a usb keyboard.

OK, so I tried an old PS2 keyboard, and the power-on function works...but I don't want to use a PS2 keyboard.

Maybe if I found a micro PS2 keyboard and put it on the desk? Alternatively, I guess I could splice the power on lines and put another power button at the top of the case. That may not be worth the trouble...

Anyone have any other ideas?

...put your computer in standby mode instead of turning it off? It's not completely 'off', but the power usage is dramatically lower.

Try a PS/2 to USB converter?
