Well, the cards did JUST arrive. I don't think it's going to remain a "$50 more" scenario for long at all. There's always a little premium upon initial release.

We see the same thing with AMD's 3800+ X2 vs. the 4200+ X2.

And deals are already popping up. Dell has a GT at around $365 after taxes and shipping. Won't find a GTX for $50 more.

But the thing is, so far you cant make the 7800GT into a GTX because of 4 pipes, and a large OC. Once you find out how to make a 7800GT into a GTX Ill buy it. Until then, Ill wait for the R520.

I think they were about to release a new line of cards (midrange to low-end), but then they had some problems and had to settle with some stupid facts as an excuse.
