Generic Pent 4 1.5 Ghz with Windows XP Pro OEM.

Turn on the computer, the cpu fan is running and everything look normal but no video at all. We change video card, memory, motherboard, PSU but same problem of no beep and no video. The computer is just sitting there and running but nothing show on the monitor (yes monitor is good).

Any sugestions? TIA.

And no, we can't just throw it in the trash and get Apple :)

Put it together outside of the case with as little as possible to get it to post or display on the screen. Motherboard, PSU, graphics card, CPU and RAM attached, sitting on a wooden table and plug the monitor in and see if it displays anything. It could be just shorting a connection on the back of the motherboard if it's not getting proper clearance from the case.

Just get a second mortgage on your house for the Apple.

Are you sure you have all your cables connected correctly?

Does your motherboard have onboard graphics? If so try without your video card to see if that works.

If you don't get any kind of beeping, do you have your case speaker hooked up correctly?

Post detailed specs of your components if you have the time.

I double check all cables and everything. No on board video but I did try PCI graphic and same result.

I also did what Rogue said <bare minimum> and still the same problem

Specs: Intel 845 MB, 1.5 Ghz Pent 4, ATI Xpert 2000 AGP graphics, 512 Kingston memory, generic PSU and keyboard/mouse.

Got another cpu you can put in there? I had this same problem a while back, except my faulty part was the RAM, and you already changed that out.

" We change video card, memory, motherboard, PSU but same problem of no beep and no video. "

It seems the only component that you haven't replaced is the CPU, Ding, Ding, Ding,!!!!

Is this a new build, or an older PC that was laying around? What is the exact motherboard, are you sure it supports the old Williamette P4?

Pcgeek - we did change the cpu but still no go

Stevty - it was an old pc (4 years old), just quit working. We will have to get the user another <not new but newer> pc.
