I recently bought a laptop and I am planning on visiting family in India in a couple of weeks. I really need to take my laptop along and I am wondering what I need to buy to take along. The power brick that came with the laptop says that it can go up to 240V. The part that worries me is there is no switch (like on desktop power supplies) between 110 and 220V. Can the brick detect this automatically?

Is this all I need to buy to charge laptop while travelling?

Thanks!
Jassi

The OEM brick will automagically provide the required DC power to your laptop as is. All you need to be good to go is a plug converter. You can pick them up at any store/mall that sells travel stuff.
