It's weird that Canada has claimed cheesy chips with gravy as a national dish.
I mean I suppose they did ruin it by using curds instead of cheddar so I guess that kinda makes it different to that perennial student breakfast of leftover fast food from last night btyg.
Look up their National Drink.

ps, it’s horrible.

My wife grew up in the Canadian French part of the city. I lived there when I was 25-31. We moved back there, to be near her parent, 12 years ago. Puttin (how it's pronounced around here) is delicious at the local French-Canadian breakfast and lunch restaurant. I'd order it on a regular basis when I was younger. I very rarely order it these days, as it's a heart attack on a plate. Lots of fat and salt. But I'll get a side dish a couple times a year. Cheese curds all the way - they were out one day and subbed mozzarella, bleh.

Is that the sub par Bloody Mary with added seafood?
My wife got one while we were in Vancouver. It looks like a Bloody Mary but the tiny amount of what’s good about a Bloody Mary (and there isn’t much that’s good about them) was torn out and replaced with something vile.

All we'd really need to do for it to take off in America is dip the whole thing in batter and deep-fry it, and put it on a stick.

I seriously draw a blank with British food. Shepherds pie is good, and I like pasties. Bangers and mash is bland but nice. I could even get used to beans for breakfast. After that, you start getting into the blood puddings and stuff D^:

Sausage and mash needs decent gravy. Proper gravy is a British thing btw!
Pretty much anything meat based in pastry is British.
Most popular curries in the West are British.
Roast dinners, pretty much only the Brits get those right.
Full fied breakfasts? Admittedly your probably not going to want one of those if you work in an office but they make a good saturday lunch! (Or for me supper after a night shift)

Im going with vinegar on those chips rather than cheese and gravy. I'm sure it's tasty, but damn, i wanna wake up the next morning.

Malt vinegar is great, but I'll always go first to a vinegary hot sauce like Frank's first. Buckets of it.
