Potential watercool build - advice welcomed

I?m looking to watercool my LGA775 P4 system, was considering this setup and just wondered if you guys think it?s a reasonable way to go, and of course if its all compatible.

CPU block - DangerDen TDX (1/2") - P4 775
Res - Criticool WaterPlant 4" Reservoir
Pump - Danger Den DD12V-D4
Rad - ThermoChill HE120.2
Tubing - 1/2" ID DangerDen ClearFlex 60

I?ve got a couple of 120mm fans lying around, will get water wetter etc, and the stuff comes with all the necessary hose clips and such.

Also, does anyone know what GPU blocks will fit on an Asus PCX5900? (ie. Would a generic Nvidia one be ok or does it require something special). As I?ll probably be upgrading the card eventually it would be nice if I could just swap the block over to the new one, so a universal block would be nice, but that?s not crucial.

Thanks for any advice, and bear in mind this is my first venture into watercooling, so asume no prior knowledge.

If your not having probs with the stock cooling on the GPU, I would recommend to leave it as is. Your component selection for the H2O kit seems solid. Dangerden should have a gpu block for the 5900 series. If you can't locate one, call them @ 503-458-6548 toll free.

DangerDen makes a MAZE-4 generic gpu waterblock that fits most ati/nvidia cards save the 6800. It works pretty well on my x800 pro and its usually running 5-8 degrees above ambient

Cheers guys, thanks for the info. As for the GPU stock cooler, yeah it works but its too loud, the MAZE-4 looks a good bet so I'll proably go with that.

Oh yeah, happy Christmas, I hope yours is as hungover as mine.

I have both the TDK and Maze4 for my AMD/X800 Pro setup. Bith have been great execpt for ice forming on the maze4 block. It seems the X800 Pro doesnt put out much heat even at 560Mhz core. 🙂
