Potential new legislation to legalize internet gambling

How many ATOT'ers would ramp up the old internet poker again?

Personally, I'm somewhat against this. I live in a state where it's unconstitutional to have an income tax and y'all subsidize my government. Legalizing internet gambling could be pretty adverse. On the other hand, maybe it will make y'all into degenerates who have to go to Vegas all the time. That would be great; you'd pay my taxes and I'd never have to interact with you!

People still play online poker all the time online in the US.

I dont really care right now since I leave for vegas on Friday for 4 days of non stop poker.

And here I thought Barney Frank was a total moron. It pains me to say this, but I agree with pretty much everything he said in the article. People should be able to do whatever they want (gamble, smoke dope, whatever) as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. The nanny state shouldn't be protecting people from themselves.

Not a big gambler myself, though, so I probably wouldn't do any online poker if it were legal.

There's been other bills to allow this but they never made it to a vote. Hopefully this one gets through. I play the ponies a lot and gamble at a casino, there simply isn't any reason to not allow internet gaming when we already have it with the thoroughbred industry.

As long as it is highly regulated for fairness so there's no funny business/cheating of course.

And yeah, super shocker it's coming from Frankenstein.

I'm all for any law that makes it easier for the fishies to put their money online. After that last bill went through online poker got pretty brutal and I just gave up on it/burnt out.
