Potential MX Duo/MX1000 conflict?

I have an MX Duo, which is running great. Based on what people have been saying about the MX1000, I'm interested in upgrading the MX700, but keeping the wireless keyboard I have now. Has anyone else done the same? Would two wireless stations' signals interfere with each other? 😕

 
I believe that there would be no problem, most devices come with multiple stations they can use anyway. The MX1000 probably uses a different frequency due to its fast RF but im not entirly sure
 
Question: Is a Ratpad or Everglide worth having for the MX1000? I'm currently using an Everglide attack pad with my MX700 to great effect, but am thinking it might be small for the MX1000. Any suggestions?
 
I was looking at the logitech forums and a few posters were running two separate chargers withou a problem. A few more posters had a similar setup and were using the MX700 duo charger to charge the 1000 mouse. They needed to have the setpoint software installed.

Well, I received the MX1000 today. Mostly good stuff here. I can use my MX700 base (or so it appears, it looks like its charging..) with the MX1000. It is certainly more accurate then my trusty MX700. The Setpoint software, however, not so much. When I have the MX1000 base connected (PS2 or USB, tried both) the mouse refuses to double-click and the right mouse button behaves erratically. If I click on a menu, it disappears automatically, doesn't stay open. The minor dilemma is that if I keep the base connected to the PC, this problem persists. Remove the base, problem is gone. Unfortunately, without a connected base, Setpoint becomes nonfunctional. Anyone stumble across this? Suggestions welcome. :beer:

Rugby, thanks for pointing out the Logitech forums. Hell, until now, I never visited or knew about them!
 
I'm in the same boat, looking to replace my trusty "old" MX700.

After reading in several bulletin boards, it seems there are still issues with either Setpoint or the MX1000 base. I have seen all the symptoms you described posted by other users. Not to mention how Setpoint doesn't work with the MX-Duo keyboard (What gives?!?!).

What I have yet to see is a response from Logitech.

So i have decided to wait, althought I am mighty tempted seeing how Sams Club brought a batch at a nicely reduced price.
 
Well, the mouse is awesome, highly recommended. I currently have no Logitech software installed, so I do lose a few extra buttons. The most important ones work great, and the performance is excellent.
