I want to attend in IL. It's the closest and it's still like 2 hrs away. Hope I can get info and register and everything.

heck if you can go and buy and then resell the parts if you dont want them, you could make some cash and still give someone a great deal.

Once people get the details, please post them in this thread. I am unable to attend any of the events but if someone would be willing to pick one up for me I will make it well worth your time. Thanks.

According to AMD - they will be requiring a sales tax certificate and/or EIN to pick up the bundles this year - The tour os for resellers only and they are finally enforcing it.

Your point has been made.
Are you losing business because of the Tech tour? Are they taking your customers away? It's almost like you have something to gain from people not being able to buy the bundle.

not being a dlck, just curious

Hmmm, if I were a reseller.... (Gilligans Island Opening Dream sequence music)....

At the Tech show:

"Look at all these geeks. Buch of AMD fanboys. I'm a reseller of AMD products. I should be here, not them! All they want to do is buy AMD products. Why am I stuck in a room with 200 captive potential customers! God they make my skin crawl!"

....(Gilligans Island Closing Dream sequence music)....

Maybe you should have brought some business cards instead of attitudes. Every non-reseller sneaking in to "steal" bundles is not necessarily a "pimple farmer." Some just love and spend money on technology, others may be evaluating the technology for their corporate spend. Ever think of that? Glad they are limiting it to resellers now? Nice job Sparky. Salesmen you're not.

You get third prize. You know what comes after the steak knives 😀

Ok - I'm not being a dick either - just informing ther masses.

Yes, i know my point has been made - just letting people know there may be some restrictions on their purchase. 😀

Wow.....you don't stop do you? Maybe your attitude can get this thread shut down too.
Maybe you shouldn't go this year. Just stay home.

What is EIN?

There has been no crapping, just my volunteering of information.

First - my Buick doesn't break down
Second - I won't be attending the event, as I believe AMD is blowing smoke about limited bundle purchases - I never trust my AMD reps to tell the truth. 😛

I wish the best of luck to all!

I didn't realize SuperSix was threadcrapping by informing people of a potential hitch in attending and buying these bundles. Now, in all honesty, they probably won't be enforcing the rules very closely but it is possible that they do.

Prices have yet to come out but at the same time, these bundles don't seem appealing to me so I probably won't be attending. I'm only a couple of hours from the NJ location. Maybe if they had a desktop dual core bundle for a decent price I'd think about it. As it is, the dual core server bundle is likely to cost an arm and a leg due to the server mobo and server OS. Maybe if they threw in a Opt 165 in the desktop bundle.

no hes (supersix/mark) been quite decent in this thread... but in the other one that got locked he was being a dick (ie. posting a fake email he "received" from amd). no one likes someone that is fake and that thread eventually turned into a flamewar.

anyway, this bundle is a decent deal so i dont think there will be huge demand as seen in previous years. if they really do try to enforce the reseller only rule they will see extremely small crowds. i think amd had it right the first time they did this tour and gave out a set number of combos for free at every event; the crowds were still heavy but they didnt have to deal with having supply problems and such.
