Anyone interested in a server bundle but without the os? I originally bought one thinking I would build a dualie but I realized that its just way too much computer for my needs....

As I had gotten the ordering server troubles before going to the Tampa show I had rec'd an email for to order the desktop bundle(server was oos 🙁). My order showed up at work on Friday (the 8th) but wasn't informed til Mon 😕 . Came via DHL out of Miami, FL. All pkgs (came overboxed) appear to be in good to excellent shape ..mobo is a version 2.0..

 
When do you get the bundle during the tour? At the beginning? Middle? End? I hope it's not the beginning because I'm probably going to be late and I really want to pick up my bundle.

Bundle pickup started at about 5:30 at the seattle show. Hope that helps!

*edit - They also allowed people who didn't get it at the break to pick it up when the show was over.

IF anyone in Vancouver does not want their bundle, I will reimburse youfor the bundle and a bit for your time.
 
If anyone anywhere doesn't want their server bundle please let me know! I did not pre-order mine in time and really need one to replace the aging exchange/web/sql server in my office. I'd like the OS too, but would still be interested if its not included.
 
got my A8N-E setup at Sunnyval: no boot, no beep, just spinning fans & LED lit. Swapped memory slots, different memory, no memory, different PSUs, (tried everything except for changing out a REALLY old Trident PCI video card bc dont have PCI-E vid card yet). Tried to clear CMOS, remove battery, etc. Sent the bios back for a flash, but I bet I got a dead mobo :+( Still waiting for the chip to come back from Kentucky. If I missed something easy, lmk.

If anybody is going to the NJ event and does not want their bundle I would be happy to take it off your hands 🙂

I am always late in finding out about this stuff even when the event is 10 miles away! lol
 
I will be going to the NJ show and if some one does not want their server bundle I will gladly pay for it.
 
i don't really want my desktop combo. got it at sunnyvale. lol i'm tryin to rid of it. i got there around 6 something. no line for me becuase my last name starts with a W.
 
AMD did a nice job in Boston, though at times I felt like I was watching HSN.

Food (hotel) was good. Presentation were pretty good too.

I guess Microsoft has no intention of offering Media Center to anyone other than OEMs? Might want to ask Sony about its experience with Beta and Apple about its early experience with OS to get a preview of coming attractions.

Microsoft had a couple of cute jabs at Linux. Seemed to me that the jabs acknowledged the threat credibility more than anything else.
 
I can be at the show with cash in hand if anyone doesn't want their bundle. Please let me know cuz I ain't goin' if I ain't gettin' 🙂

 
AMD is ending the the tech tour at east brunswick with a BANG!

Rumor has it theres going to be MASSIVE give aways from AMD and other vendors. since its the last stop on the tour. This is going to be huge....
 
Just got back from the show.

Food was very good. It was actually REAL food not just tocos and hotdogs. Great stuff.

They gave away lots of worthless shirts.

I know im missing something

Oh way, they sung the most GAY song at the end of the show!!! I even recorded them with my PDA camera if anyone wants to see.
 

they give out the green AMD polo shirt (one...) and some AMD wind-breaker shirts
a lady get a Hawaii shirt... like XXXL size... get lost of applause
EPOX one mobo, Abit none. GA none. Tyan none. MSI give out one video card (but the guy have 2 boxes on hand... don't know what)
some Ferrai T-shirt, caps and polos

"when you go 64..." (with "when I'm 64" music)...
they aren't very tech know... (a guy asking 1T with 4 slot of ram... none of those on stage have a clue with 1T means...)


everyone get a M$ T-shirt and a x64 cap.
 
also an asian get a Ferrai T-shirt and may be they do not check the name and then another asian go out and talked.... they hand the Ferrai cap to him...
