Potato bugs (not pill bugs) are the scariest damn creatures.

So i go outside to lock side gate last night barefoot and as round the corner i almost step on one of the potato bugs that was on the walkway ...ewwww i hate those things

ran to the garage to get a shovel and a bazooka just in case....i whack it with the shovel and all i here is a loud ping and the damn thing is still walking...AAHHHHH die you bastard spawn from hell!!!!

finally used the shovel to cut it in half and whacked a few dozen times more just in case

those are some tough bastards to kill...and damn crunchy when you finally hit them right and they turn to mush.

i swear as i walked away i could feel it looking at me...still moving and signaling the rest of them to attack me later as a slept

nasty ugly looking things...no wonder they call them ninos de la tierra, children of the earth in spanish

anyone that doesnt know what im talkign about look here and go to the picture section

Are you sure thats a potato bug? That looks more like a cricket.

The potato bugs I see are small striped beetles.

Yeah, they're creepy looking. Technical name is "Jerusalem Cricket", I believe.

Edit: I used to call them potato bugs when I was growing up, though.
 

Woah, lemme see if I can find a pic of what I call a potato bug. Well I can't find a pic, but I used to call Pill Bugs (a.k.a. Roly Polys) Potato Bugs.

That is not even an insect.

It is a relative of the centipede. They eat fungus and what not. Very harmless.

well i dunno what they are called but they are pretty big...and nasty looking...those things are like 2 to 4 inches big

i hear tell back in the old country there have been reported sightings of some huge ones that will eat u up in one bite...and will survive fire ice and depleted uranium shells....

just thinking of that thing is givign me the chills and that there geese pimples :p

What makes a potato bug scary. You see them and they roll up into a little living bb. We used to flick them around the porch then I was a kid.

Bugs are considered beetles only. Hard shelled and wings underneath.

But insects are awesome creatures. They possess a beauty that is amazing. Virtually no brain as such, they are still very cool creatures.

Some are dangerous to us but most are just harmless. They have been doing their thing for millions of years. They deserve repsect and admiration.

dont get me wrong i love bugs and such but these things...man they just give me the creepy crawly jeeby jeebies
