I wonder how much the Mexican drug cartels are giving to support the Chamber of Commerces campaign?

I wonder how much the Chinese are giving to the Dems to keep America in debt.

Uh, you do know that the Republicans are 100 percent for the continued unfair trade with China, while about about half the Dems are for rectifying it?

Chinese are not stupid. Their money is going to the Republicans.
Anyone who thinks otherwise, is, well, flat out dumb.

While it is my hope is that Prop 19 passes it will only be a baby step towards fixing the nations drug policy.

Links to back up your assertions?
Which one?
Are you asking JeffreyLebowski to back his assertion that the Chinese are giving Dems money to keep the US in debt?

Or mine that the Republican party is nearly one hundred percent for the status quo in regards to Chinese trade policy, and that the Dems are split about 50-50?

Both.

tech:
You did not use the word "nearly" in your statement regarding unfair trade

JeffreyLebowski :
Made the statement about the Chinese giving the Dems money to keep up in debt. Giving to a political party is not the the same as purchasing debt off of the market.

that story is bunk.

Nope. Looks pretty accurate. The Mexican cartels will continue to grow pot here in Kahleeforneeya, only their point of sales will change. Instead of selling most of the crop here, it will simply be transported to other states and sold there.

Uh, you think you can actually count on a bunch of lazy stoners with the munchies to actually do something? Yeah, good luck with that.

I heard this on Bill Maher so don't take it as gospel. He said only 6 percent of people 18 to 27 vote in California but the MJ prop. is expected to jump that number to 12 percent.

12 fucking percent? I think that's a sign that pretty much everyone 18-27 in California is on drugs.

I predicted it would fail because assholes don't like other people having fun and the ratio of assholes to fun lovers in tilted in favor of assholes. One can only hope the tax burden of jails will kill their assholeness. We will see.

Ive been saying all along that I'd be completely surprised if this passes at all. I worked during the 2008 Presidential election and that was the biggest turnout of young voters I've seen but it was still like 1:4 compared to older citizens.

Its so sad the way people vote these days. I cant tell you how many people came in with party pamphlets that told them exactly how to vote for every candidate and issue.

A lot of people in the medical marijuana community are pushing NO on Prop 19. A lot of people I know who used to be FOR legalization are now against Prop 19 because their medical clinic told them to be. There are a lot of people profiting off the current system and they don't want to see it change. If Prop 19 doesn't pass I'll be a very sad panda.

If it passes then the profit margin drops significantly. Why would anyone growing and selling now want that ? I wouldn't be surprised if drug dealers are not paying people to vote no against it.
