Yesterday i posted under Off Topics a story about Paris Hilton which became very popular.
later on the day the post was gone or deleted, not locked just deleted.

This is the second time that something i posted that became very popular became deleted?

Any ideas why?

B/C it just turns into a damn flamefest about her looks, about how skinny she is, about how "she should make a porno with me", etc. The usefullness of the thread disappeared with the first post and spiraled downhill. Why bother leaving it on OT?

Then lock it, other worse things get locked, but i wanted to read what others had posted and it was just completely gone.

Sometimes response will contain information that is not deemed worthwhile. At that point, it may be better for the thread to be removed rather than trying to clean it up after the lock.

well it be good that you get a email telling you the post has been removed, like when you get a email when a post is moved to another location.

Well, if you do a search and it isn't listed, that is a pretty good indicator that it is gone ;)
