I've got a friend who lives out in the boonies of Missouri.

Putzing around on a pre-built system, features including a blazing K6-3 350Mhz CPU, a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP, 128mb PC100, and a 14" monitor.
To make matters worse, he lives pretty far out of town, so broadband isn't an option, and his standard dialup is terrible. His 56k modem connects as low as 18k, and as high as 43k.
