I am going to finally build a new system, after getting off of the PC upgrade crazy train back in '05. X-Mas is for our son, we just get each other a stocking stuffer, then I give her one more *wink wink nudge nudge* :p

I was talking to my gf about gifts this year. I came to conclusion that I have everything and it would best if we just gave to charity this year instead. We are just trying to decide on how we go about finding a family to give to.

I don't particularly want anything, but I'm thinking of an external hard drive, USB gaming headset, maybe an SSD, and maybe a new keyboard. Maybe some t-shirts and business casual clothes, I don't know. No real must-haves. :<

Nothing, only twice in my life did I ever ask for something. Plus I don't believe in Jesus or Santa.

My wife and i are getting to this stage as well. We dont NEED anything. Luckily the morning radio station we listen to does a holiday "Hand Up" charity where they choose someone each day that is in need of a hand up and listeners call in donating money or services to the famiy that needs a hand up. Usually chokes me up every morning but in a good way. Like a plumber might be down on his luck in this ecomony and cant afford new tires for his van so some mechanic will call in saying send him to my shop and ill hook him up with new tires, rotate, balance all that jazz. Or sometimes its just $20 or even $500 if someone is feeling really generous. I like the idea of a hand up instead of a hand out. Good show.

Dinner and a few hours just hanging out with mom, dad, brother, sister, cousins, niece, grandmothers, grandfather, aunts, and uncles.

I'll bring the beer. (note: usually bring 2 or 3 bottles of Xmas themed micro ... last year I had some sort of Christmas ale that came in a 1.5 liter magnum bottle.)

Gigabit switch and gigabit PCI-E NIC
Some kind of gym mat, 10x10 I guess
A weight tree, getting sick of tripping on those

I need a new rachet too, mine is stuck on left loosy. And a fucking ladder.

I like practical things for Christmas if people insist on buying me anything. Stuff like socks, underpants, ties, that kind of stuff. Books and movies are fine as well.

If I decide to move into a place with a garage. My list will be a bunch of tools.
